Live Video

Synaesthesia between the senses can put you in a healing trance. To me, live video is more than an impressive show. It's is a powerful spell to cast on audiences in synch with the positive intentions of the performance. This creates a transformative communal experience akin to a ritual.

 

As a child, I dreamed of painting sound. My dream came true in 2008, when I first got into live video performance, also known as VJ-ing.

 

With my roots in rave culture, I've played visuals for events large and small, in Europe and beyond. I create live video for concerts with famous and indie artists from all over, at venues from cafes to stadiums. I've done audiovisual projects with different bands and artists in genres ranging from folk, jazz and reggae to techno and rock. I am a resident VJ at the iconic Freerotation Festival in Wales.

 

My visuals start as handmade animations or shot footage, which is then layered and glitched to create a collaged journey into inner space. Every show is a bespoke and unique work of art. I'm averse to using AI for environmental, social and creative reasons.
