Fanged Flowers

Like many women, I had a rough time learning to inhabit my body. I had no idea how to handle the hormonal cycles, social pressures and outright dangers.

 

I discovered the right tools to face those challenges through the spiritual practice of creativity.

 

The Fanged Flowers are an expression of the healing power of art. They are icons to the fierce and cheeky divine spark within each of us.

 

Channeling them empowered me to transition confidently to new stages in my life and remind me of the sacredness of the body I inhabit, all experiences I go through, and all life I encounter.

I use the ancient toothed vulva symbol as a way to reclaim our power as embodiments of the universal consciousness. The image of a vagina dentata reintegrates our dualistic perception of binaries such as birth and death into a holistic perception of Reality as it is.

 

Our essence resides beyond definitions of soft and hard, active and passive, good and bad. We can only move forward when we face our fears and our shadows, and transmute them.
